Deadline Hollywood is reporting that the ABC television pilot “Counter Culture,” a comedy based on the Cornell Press book of the same title by Candacy Taylor, has cast Margo Martindale, the Emmy-winning actress from the FX series “Justified,” as the eldest of three sisters running a family diner in West Texas. She joins another Emmy winner, Doris Roberts (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), who plays a cashier at the diner. Candacy Taylor couldn’t be more excited by Martindale’s participation. “Wow! I LOVE her,” Taylor said. “She was amazing on ‘Justified.'”
