“All readers; all levels”

Choice Online has posted a rave review for Elisabeth Ladenson‘s Dirt for Art’s Sake: “In witty analyses, she establishes common themes and cross-references from nine obscenity trials, revealing shifting sensibilities and legal rulings since 1857 in France, England, and the US, occasionally to comic effect. . . . Highly recommended. All readers; all levels.” This is only the latest of the glowing notices for Ladenson’s book. Others include: The Nabokov Online Journal, The Pennsylvania Gazette, The Washington Post, Maclean’s Magazine, The Times of London, and a starred review in Publishers Weekly.

Ladenson also has an article in the September 20, 2007, issue of the London Review of Books: “Short Cuts.”
